Two new grants support Professor Tao's research
Professor Franklin Tao’s research is getting a boost from both the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy. NSF has awarded Tao a $305,000 three-year grant for “Understanding the restructuring of model metal catalysts in reactant gases.” Additonally, a two-year, $339,000 DOE grant will fund “Understanding of catalytic transformation of shale gas and development of catalysts with high activity and selectivity through experimental exploration and theoretical simulation.” Tao is a KU associate professor of Chemical & Petroleum Engineering.
