Joining the CEBC?

  • Before you arrive:
    • Complete the CEBC Qualtrics onboarding survey which will be provided in the emailed welcome package
    • Check the New Faculty and Staff Resources
    • Complete online modules for onboarding sent by Human Resources

  • Arrival to Kansas:
  • Tips from CEBC Researchers
    • Forward your mail service as soon as you can via USPS
    • Once you have obtained health insurance (provided by KU for most non-student researchers and some students), bring your insurance card with you to any doctor's appointment. They will want to see both the front and back of the card.
    • Important mail often comes in nondescript envelopes, be sure to open these as soon as they arrive. 
  • If you believe your life is in imminent danger and you cannot keep yourself safe, or you or someone else has decided to seriously harm or kill yourself/themselves or someone else, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room, Lawrence Memorial Hospital (325 Maine St., Lawrence, KS 66044) or the Douglas County Treatment & Recovery Center (1000 W 2nd St., Lawrence, KS 66044). 

  • Care Referrals
    • The SCRT engages proactively and collaboratively across campus to identify, assess, and support students, faculty, and staff exhibiting concerning behaviors and/or experiencing significant distress due to academic stressors, work stressors, or personal circumstances. The SCRT partners with members of the community to promote individual wellbeing while prioritizing community safety.

    • If you or someone you know is in crisis or has urgent needs, help is available 24/7.
